After last year’s successful teacher sharing event we are pleased to announce that we are again holding a TeachMeet @ the Abbey School, Reading. 

Please join us on Tuesday 15 May 2012 for a twilight teaching and learning session. You won’t be disappointed!

What are TeachMeet's?

There are TeachMeet events taking place around the country, giving teachers a voice and an opportunity to share what they have learned themselves engage pupils and prove successful. 

Each TeachMeet event provides significant possibilities for your school to access FREE staff professional development in an informal setting. With a great opportunity for you and/or representatives from your school to enjoy a relaxed evening listening to fellow teaching professionals from your area share their success stories and keep abreast of the successful classroom practices.

Come along and listen or give a short presentation yourself.  Either way there's no pressure to speak at the event. Just join us, enjoy a glass of wine and nibbles and take the chance to network with fellow professionals on the night.

Presentation highlights

We have speakers talking on the use of 3D technology and projectors in the classroom. This is a great chance to see how the Abbey School use 3D projectors in everyday classroom activities. Read more on Newsround's report on the school and its technology.

We have 'Speed Dating' (for teaching and learning purposes, we wont be asking you to tell us your life story! :)) and how this can enhance lessons.
